Liz Minelli
Liz Minelli is a Brazilian-born tattoo artist based in Edinburgh, where she has been living and working since 2020, known for large-scale blackwork and dark, symbolic imagery. Tattooing since 2012, her work draws from gothic architecture, folklore, mythology, and the natural world, intertwining themes of transformation, devotion, and the unseen.
Her practice is deeply rooted in storytelling and intention. She places strong emphasis on freehand design, allowing each piece to be drawn directly on the body so it can respond intuitively to anatomy, movement, and flow. Every tattoo is designed specifically for the body it inhabits, honouring both form and personal narrative. Liz works exclusively by appointment, with a particular focus on large-scale projects that evolve through collaboration, trust and time.
With 14 years of experience, she founded Occulta as a space for ritual, craft, and artistic depth. The studio is shaped by care, precision, and mutual respect. Her approach values patience over speed and quality over quantity, creating tattoos shaped by meaning and presence.

Alisha Szkudro
Alisha Szkudro started her tattooing journey 6 years ago. She was given advice by professionals and started by building up her portfolio. Two years later she was given the go ahead to buy her first machine and start practicing on fake skin. She continued to build a strong foundation on her line work and her enjoyment of meticulous details.
She then evolved into her ornamental style that we see today with gothic/heavy black work inspired pieces. She continues to build her knowledge and skills through her love and passion for the job and surrounds herself with others who share the same love of the industry.
Beyond that of tattooing, she strives to be a professional, kind and comforting presence in the studio. Clients of the studio, whether Alisha’s or otherwise, have noticed her warming presence – she’s truly a gentle goth.
